All shipping and docking procedures would require a loading bay for trucks to unload/load goods. The above is an example of how a loading/unloading bay would look like. The size of the loading bay varies from a large scaled one to a small scaled one like in the picture above. The size of the loading/unloading bay would depend on the scale of the daily shipping and docking procedures.
The Platform
All loading bay will have a Platform as such. A Platform is just a leveled ground which is connected to a warehouse to allow trucks to park right next to it for loading purposes. This Platform would enable trucks to park right infront of it and with the aid of a steel ramp be able to move pallets into and out of the truck much more efficiently.

The above is a standard Steel Ramp. It serves as a medium to transfer goods from a Platform to a truck. The Steel Ramp above can support the weight of Forklifts and Pallet Jacks as tons of heavy goods are passed through it daily.
